The standard renewal lifecycle follows the commercial transaction sequence ofrenewal quote → order → order activation. The user begins with the existing lifecycle-managed asset and initiates renewal, generating or populating the renewal quote. The quote captures the products, quantities, terms, pricing, and any negotiated renewal changes.
Once the renewal quote is finalized, it is converted into an Order. The Order represents the committed transaction that drives the next lifecycle state. Activating the Order enables Revenue Management to process the renewal and subsequently update or create the applicable Asset Actions and Asset State Period information.
Option A incorrectly substitutes Contract creation and activation for the Order lifecycle. Contracts can participate in the broader commercial process, but a Contract alone does not replace the order transaction that drives asset renewal. Option C includes creating an Order but stops at Contract creation and does not include Order activation, leaving the transaction without the lifecycle event needed to complete the renewal.
The critical exam sequence is thereforecreate renewal quote with the asset, create the renewal order, and activate the order.
