In SmartZone Active-Active cluster redundancy, one active cluster acts as the configuration source while the other active clusters operate as target clusters. The source cluster periodically creates and pushes configuration backups to the target clusters so that configuration remains synchronized across the redundancy topology. Unlike Active-Standby operation, every Active-Active cluster remains operational rather than placing target clusters into a read-only state. RUCKUS documentation specifies that only one cluster can enable scheduled configuration synchronization, and administrators are advised to make configuration changes primarily on that source cluster. Target clusters periodically receive and restore the synchronized configuration.
