The sprint goal has become invalid because multiple scope changes were introduced during the sprint. Under Scrum, a sprint may be canceled when its sprint goal becomes obsolete, and only the product owner has the authority to make that decision. The Scrum Master should not independently redirect the team to technical debt, convert the sprint into a training exercise, or escalate the matter to senior management.
