PowerFlex Management Controller VMs are being deployed.

Before powering on the PowerFlex Management Controller (PFMC) VMs, it is crucial to add a secondvNIC(virtual NIC) to enable proper communication and management capabilities:

Add a Second vNIC to PFMC 2.0 Nodes (Option C):

The additional vNIC is required to handle the management traffic and ensure proper network segregation for various operations within the PowerFlex environment.

Without the second vNIC, the management network might not function as intended, potentially causing communication issues between PowerFlex components.

Why Not the Other Options?

Option A: Upgrade the VM hardware version: The deployed OVAs are preconfigured with the required hardware version, and upgrading it is unnecessary unless specified by Dell's updated requirements.

Option B: Add a second SCSI controller: There is no requirement to add a second SCSI controller for PFMC nodes, as storage configurations are pre-defined in the OVA.

Option D: Upgrade the version of VMware Tools: The OVAs are pre-packaged with a compatible VMware Tools version, and an immediate upgrade is not required before powering on.
