A client has three different sites with three locales.

A shared content library allowsmultiple B2C Commerce sites to use the same collection of content assets and folders. Salesforce states directly that a shared library can be assigned to multiple sites, whereas a private library belongs to its owning site and cannot serve as another site ' s site library.

This enables organizations operating several storefronts or brands to centrally maintain common assets such as legal text, help pages, sizing information, promotional copy, and images while optionally using site-specific attributes to control whether particular assets are online or searchable on each site.

Content slots are not what the library itself shares. Slots are merchandising placements/configurations associated with storefront contexts, while content assets are stored in content libraries.
