ABC telecom is using communication cloud for their enterprise customers.

For high-frequency synchronization, an event-driven integration prevents the assurance platform from repeatedly polling Salesforce. A platform event can signal that the customer asset state changed, after which the assurance application can retrieve the current authoritative asset data through the supported asset API. This decouples the producer from the consumer and scales better than scheduled bulk extracts for near-real-time operational updates. This is the decisive architectural point in this scenario because the Salesforce Industries model separates commercial selling concerns from fulfillment, lifecycle, and integration concerns. Bulk API is a batch mechanism and on-demand polling creates avoidable API traffic and latency. The event-plus-retrieval pattern lets the downstream system react only when a relevant change occurs. Using the standard capability also keeps the design supportable across releases, reduces unnecessary custom code, and makes operational behavior easier to trace during troubleshooting. From an implementation perspective, the configuration should be tested with representative product structures and transaction volumes so that rules, mappings, and downstream dependencies behave exactly as intended. The resulting design is therefore both functionally correct and aligned with the managed Communications Cloud operating model.
