A correct year-to-date filter must satisfy two requirements: the event must belong to the current calendar year, and its date must not be later than today. DATETRUNC( " year " , [Event Date]) = DATETRUNC( " year " , TODAY()) confirms that the event and today’s date fall within the same year. [Event Date] < = TODAY() then excludes future dates within that year. Option C identifies the current year but would also include future-dated events. Option D does the opposite by explicitly selecting dates after today. Option B compares each event date with the first day of its own year and therefore does not implement YTD filtering.
