A Dynamic vNIC Connection Policy is the Cisco UCS policy specifically designed to control connectivity between virtual machines and dynamic vNICs on servers that use Cisco VIC adapters. Cisco states that this policy determines how VM-to-dynamic-vNIC connectivity is configured and that each policy includes an Ethernet Adapter Policy plus the number of dynamic vNICs available to an associated server. Its protection setting can be configured as Protected Preferred Fabric A, causing UCS to use fabric A when available and fail over to fabric B when required.
